If 524 apartments, 1,000 new subway commuters is a bit of a stretch.

In any case, some could just as well walk to W8th Street and take The Brighton line. Once on the Q train, choose between the 6th Avenue (B) Brighton Express, or Broadway line (stay on the Q).
