Re: Saving cats

A few of the sewer plants I work have cat populations of various sizes. Red Hook, one engineer warned me "He's kind of a dick. He'll act like he wants you to pet him and get all upset when you stop"

Great Neck's population comes and goes, and some of them super adorable, but avoid people. They do the catch-fix-release thing. Being Long Island, some asshole figured that a sewer plant is a drop point for kittens, tossed two over the fence. One made it.

When they were upgrading that plant, a super friendly calico would follow me around the RAS/WAS building, despite my repeated attempts to relocate her to her owner's place next door...

Middletown, NY had an old, but nice, one. And over the years a lot of annoying dogs.

Sewer plants are mouse/rat magnets.
