And on the last day of the Fair, a record crowd of 446,953 attended. I think it's a safe bet that Expo 67 had that many visitors every day. Had it not been for a transit strike in September, Expo would have easily surpassed the two-season total for the New York World's Fair in just six months! Steve: I went to both World Fairs. I visited the NYWF several times. I went up to Montreal in July of 67. I rode the New York Central and D&H. Montreal had a brand new subway (metro) and Expo 67 had its own rapid transit line, the Expo Express. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
