As I stated in my other posts, I also like the S/L series. I'm not sure I would call them impressive, but that's subjective. I guess I just see rail across NY, and how it can be grown and improved in a financially sustainable manner in a different light, and don't see a S/L car equipped train as having any particular value when put on a list of things that would be really useful. I'd rather see money spent on restored Southern Tier service before trying to bring in cars that can't go to the present logical endpoints without spending hard to come by cash, just because we like them a little better. |
