Watching that video clip from 5-30-13, I noticed that the n/b tracks are still rising as they approach 72nd St. 72nd itself is level, but because much of the train is still on that upslope as it enters the station, it's still gathering speed. About halfway through 72nd, the entire train is on level track and by the time the lead motor has reached the northern end of the platform, it's at full speed. That's exactly how I remember all those R-10 Abbott joyrides back in the day. Pure excitement. Ripping past 81st, you had the feeling that nothing could stop that train.
