When I became a M/I the asshole running the BMT Division wanted his Supervisors to wear "Sunday go to meeting" clothes even though I was expected to get under trains with the RCI during train troubles. I was also reported by an unknown individual that I wasn't wearing a tie when responding to a breakdown at Vernon-Jackson on a Sunday afternoon. At least when I was hourly I could write off cleaning expenses on my taxes.
