CBTC will eventually increase capacity.No signal system increases capacity. Intermediate station capacity is determined by: acceleration rate; service braking rate; station dwell time; train length and emergency braking rate. None of these parameters has anything to do with the signal system. Capacity is also determined by track layout at terminals. Again, nothing to do with signal system. |
