When I was a conductor from 11/79 to 2/81 I worked some QB Specials, 1 round trip on overtime before/after your regular job. Specials no longer exist today. The first 2 QB's from Stillwell went to Astoria, then returned as RR's to 36th St/4th Ave. and laid up.

On the PM, 2 early RR lay-ups at Astoria got changed over to the last 2 QB's, went to Stillwell, then laid up for RR service for the next morning. I worked these a couple of times as a vacation relief conductor.
