When I rode the "Last Lex" in 1950 there was no vandalism either. The only things taken were the steel route and destination signs. Riders even took the wood destination signs that hung on the gates at the front and rear of the train.By the time we got back to Eastern Parkway there was not one sign left on the six car train. Unfortunately, I did not get any of the signs. |
