The Maryland & Delaware's only costumer on the branch south of Selbyville is the Tysons Food feed mill in Snow Hill. The primary costumer on their branch west of Seaford is the Purdue Farms feed mill on Herlock Maryland. That vast majority of the tonnage shipped south of Harrington is also grain going to the feed mills of Purdue Farms, Mountaire Farms, Allen Food and Tysons Food. Believe of not all those covered hopper are bring grain to Delmarva to supplement the grain grown here as feed for the poultry industry. The tanks are mostly Propane, Salisbury, East New Market and Princess Anne. Most of the tonnage that uses the car float at Cape Charles is over sized loads that can't pass through DC or precast concrete products manufactured on the Virginia Eastern Shore.
