I had .wav files of an R42, but my computer crash wiped them out.Nooooooooooooooooooo! :( If you want to kinda hear the Darth Vader, watch the movie "Coming to America", near the end, when Eddie Murphy rides a pre-GOH R-38 on the E (supposed to be at Sutphin Blvd, but they actually used the closed platform at Hoyt-Schermerhorn!). Watch fro the scene where he gives a lady who had just gotten off the train a pair of expensive diamond earrings. Just before the doors close you can maybe hear (if you turn your volume up high) the brakes releasing. There was some other movie I saw recently on cable where the characters boarded an R-42 N at 57/7 (apparently it was shot in the 70s) and you hear the DV very clearly, but I have no idea which movie it was, as I didn't stick around after that scene (it was not the French Connection). |
