Posted by Jackson Park B Train on Sat Sep 8 15:04:57 2012, in response to Re: Terminals and ROW shared by Multiple Interurbans., posted by Avid Reader on Sat Sep 8 14:32:14 2012. my point was that transfering from the CNS&M to CSS&SB involved a short walk from Adams/Wabash, or actually if SB/EB from State/Van Buren to the IC Station @ VanBuren/Michigan where South Shore trains operated as tenants of IC.As to IC equipment on CSS&SB, fan trips, Notre Dame Football specials, whatever exceeded available equipment could be arranged. It was however somewhat inconvenient because other than Gary all South Shore stations were low platform in the old days. |
