It gets better than that: There people who:a) Live in places like Dingmans Ferry, Milford and Hawley Pa, and drive into PJ and THEN ride all the way in. Lou: The first train of the day leaves Port Jervis at 352AM and arrives in Hoboken at 600AM. 352 is not the early morning its the middle of the night. I give credit to the folks who do it but I wonder what kind of a home life they have. There is a point where your trip stops being a "commute" and becomes a "journey." I knew some people who commuted between GCT and Poughkeepsie, which is basically an hour and forty minute trip and then drove for another 30 or 45 minutes to reach their homes. There are some great pluses to living up north but if you want to make real money you still have to go to NYC and consequently you have very little time to appreciate what north country offers. Just some random thought. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
