I remember watching a news segment on the inspections of the 2nd ave segments years ago before the project was restarted and one section only had 1 way in and that was a small hatch in the sidewalk. The hatch didn't even look TA style soo who's to say there isn't a manhole on Pitkin ave that's being used as inspection access to the tunnel. Now this is a what iff, before anyone starts challenging me (cept you few) I'm just saying MAYBE.
