Grandma lived on the 11th floor of said tower. Went to sleep many a weekend to the sounds of the MJ train.I always wondered what the area looked like prior to the "Urban Renewl" project.? The posted pics of the Lex. El, give me a good idea. Somewhat like Dekalb Ave. between Bedford and Nostrand Ave. prior to the great razing. Used to go to the library at Dekalb and Nostrand, right past the demolition sites. I love the smell of decay in the morning... |
