I remember both the grand entrances and the demises. I loved hearing entire trains of brand new motor brushes entering service whizzing away during sensitive rolling tests and some cars with 2CYs and others with NYABs. Nice to have all the ceiling fans and doors cut in. Some with MGs and others with Toshibas. I was one of the lucky few to remain aboard to 207 Street Yard. However for those who will remember the Southbound run Roosevelt to QP, as well as the round trip from Myrtle-Marcy more than made up for the CPW loss. 3216 sat in CIY only the next weekend as its NYAB compressor was removed. RIP Billy Bromberger, captain of that ship.
