Having had to go try to find stuff at the state archives when I was with the state, it's absolutely no picnic at all - the usual response from the archivists being, "it's over in there ... somewhere. Good luck." Only those willing to shuffle through LOTS of cartons might find what they're looking for. I can only imagine what a mess the city's archives are. :(
