It was probably referred to as the Bway Bkln El since the actual Fulton El ran along Pitkin Av, then across Euclid to Liberty where it ended at Grant Av (City Line). The fact that at the time Pitkin itself actually ended at Ruby St may account for the routing of the old Fulton El over to Liberty.
