Since I lived in Hollis at the time, what happened in Bellaire/Queens Village didn't concern/interest me at the time, it was light years away even though only a couple of miles. But I'm glad, now, that those people in the area dug in their heels and said, this far and no farther about the Clearview (great road for speeding though; straight and relatively flat!). Otherwise I would be just about living on the service road of the expressway extension.Although I might have some sympathy for your (potential) loss, it would have been a good road for everyone else. |
