What is interesting is that the C/R who told me he was in there said that he rode in on a long relay from Euclid although I don't know why that would have been the case since the only place a train returning from A1 S/O Euclid is back to A1 in Euclid station. It could be that the track did go as far as the station and the train going in there was being used as some sort of rail polisher. What lends a little credibility to the idea that A1 track did go that far is that the concrete wall that is currently in place zigzags so that A1 track as about 50 ft shorter than the other 3 tracks at that location preventing a full 600 ft train from being stored there. It sort of begs the question as to why the wall at that location is not even across all 4 tracks so that a full length train could be laid up there if required. |
