Posted by tunnelrat on Fri Jan 28 17:54:42 2011, in response to Re: 76st what happened?, posted by Larry,RedbirdR33 on Fri Jan 28 17:32:30 2011. larry,I can only assume it was cut&cover as I have seen construction photos of the A line coming from ENY to liberty ave in an 2 or 3 year old copy of era`s bulletin.it was cut-n-cover.the transit musuem`s construction photos of the yard leads are cut-n-cover.the stairway to the mezzanine& [I assume]the street are sealed up from the platform.it was the pump train,I didn`t ask if it was diesel or electric.none,as I have posted so many times before the only tracks that were laid towards the station were A7[it bumper blocks before the station]& A8 which I do not know where it ends.the station is only framed out towards queens,the city bound part is only partially built.BTW,did you have any trouble reading this,because I didn`t use CAPITOLS.what a stupid thing to say. |
