That's like Aquafina. If you read the small print it says "Purified Water", not spring water. "Purified" water is just treated tap water. In any event, I don't buy bottle water because it's supposedly "healthy" or better than tap water, but because it's convenient to take with you or around, and you don't have to worry about saving the container. |

That's WHY it's going dry. :) |

Heh. I'm going to guess that we're going to have to consult with a hipster that works at an Apple store or makes lattes. :)I would *imagine* that "vapor distilled" is salespeak for "a regular still, but we can't say that" ... you boil water, it makes steam, it turns the turbine and then evaporates into a Pyrex tube. But it can't be that simple, can it Mr. Science? Heh. And funny thing about distillation - aromatics will "steam" earlier than the water. I think I'd better shaddap now. :) |

To put it simply, distilled water is basically water that's boiled, and steam is allowed to evaporate off the water into gas through a tube and it's brought back down and made into liquid again, the finished product. Water vapor is pure, and all the "nasties" in the original water is left in the original vath, and the revaporized (distilled) water is purified water. |
