I think Koch was a very good Mayor until his final term, when the corruption scandals got out of hand. What I really like is his resemblance to the Mayor in the 1974 version of "Pelham". That really adds an element of reality to the film (except that unlike that Mayor, Koch has never been married to Doris Roberts or anyone else.) |

They should have named the BB Tunnel after Stephen Siller, keep the QB Bridge with its current name (what next...are they gonna rename the Brooklyn Bridge?) and rename the Queens-Midtown Tunnel after Ralph Bunche. They should name the Hunters Av Bridge after either me or you. |

When Erie Lackawanna combined the Greenwood Lake line and the Boonton line in 1961, they used the former name together with Boonton until Conrail took over, even though it made no sense. Once RFK is embedded, Triboro will slowly stop being used altogether. |

The Brooklyn Battery Tunnel describes exactly where the tunnel goes and should keep its name. So should the Queensboro Bridge. The City and State keep complaining they have no money, but they find money for this renaming nonsense. The Triborough never should have been renamed either. What's next? The Whitestone becomes the Pataki Bridge? I'm tired of all this honoring of politicians with existing landmarks. |
