I really hate that term "people of color" because it does include all but white people of which I'm one, and proud of what I am without having to rail against any other group who should be very proud of what they are. Let's be frank......whites are really beige in color, Asians about the same and some even lighter. Hispanics are brown in color and blacks are dark brown. This crap of differentiating people by color is why there is so much bile and anger among groups today.Back to what I said before......when I hear that term "people of color" I really get pissed off because I believe it is an anti-white slogan and I give hell to anyone who uses that in my presence just as I rail when I hear the "N" word. |

Yes, the Gold Line has a number of stations that are in an open cut, and there are some tunnels on the route between Pasadena and East Los Angeles. There are also a few elevated stations as well. Some of the tunnels have stations on the route and it reminds me a lot of my beloved Sea Beach.BTW--I know the Brighton has three of those mini-tunnels so prevalent on the Sea Beach. Is this picture that of the Brighton Line? I know 20th Avenue is on the Sea Beach but when I see the "D" Train my first inclination is that we are not looking at the "N" Line. |

I suspect that is the Sea Beach line, with the D present either as a GO or emergency reroute. Note on the other track what appears to be a train of R-160s, most likely an N.Also, note the rather poor condition of the express tracks, the Brighton express tracks are used 5 days a week, so they wouldn't look that shabby. |
