Exactly. We gotta make sure we are healthy from all the shit we grew up eating and other vices. Like they say, Type 2 Diabetes takes decades in the making. Also, same with the other diseases/cancers you mentioned. You have to keep up on that.

No problem! I'm glad people can change. Listen, I ate and drank like a 20 yr old for decades. Now the chickens came home to roost so I have to deal with it. Sodas, breads, bagels, beer, candy, salty lunch meats, salty cheeses, crackers (not crakkas, Edwards!), processed foods, grapes, ice cream, fried foods, watermelon etc... Now, if I continue, it's on me!

One thing I had going for me is that I hadn't had a cigarette in about 30 years. Those are the real killers. I've seen so many people (many of them relatives) die a slow and painful death from cigarettes

12 Yeats ago I was going to the gym every day. 30 minutes on the elliptical machine and then weights. One Feb. morning I was walking my dog and invthe bitter cold I felt a little twinge of something. Fortunately, I went to the Dr. She sent me to a cardiologist who put me in the hospital immediately. 4 days later I had a quadruple bypass. The artery called "the widow maker" was 92% blocked.

Eating healthy, exercise and a healthy lifestyle are important but if you are genetically predisposed to disease, active surveillance is more so. I owe my life to my dog and to not ignoring a minor symptom. 60-90 minutes a day at the gym told me nothing.

But when you take care of yourself, that helps to push that date back

More important even, it helps assure that your last years are healthier. Whenever I start going seriously downhill, I'd like it to be quicker rather than slower. Keeping blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar under control all help with that. Otherwise, your organs can just slowly fail over many years.

A fried of my parents felt some twinges at age 90 on a return flight from a really nice, active trip to Europe. The next day he had an instantly fatal heart attack. That's the way to exit the world!

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The woman behind an early Facebook post spreading a harmful and baseless claim about Haitian immigrants eating local pets that helped thrust a small Ohio city into the national spotlight says she had no firsthand knowledge of any such incident and is now filled with regret and fear as a result of the ensuing fallout.

“It just exploded into something I didn’t mean to happen,” Erika Lee, a Springfield resident, told NBC News on Friday.

Note that the reason Springfield has gotten such an influx of Haitians is not because there is such a generous array of social services available - if that's what they were after they'd all be going to NYC - but because there's a terrific economy with industrial jobs galore.

In many ways Alzheimer's is the most scary thing about aging. There's no effective way to prevent it, as remaining healthy and fit and mentally engaged cannot stop it, and no real treatments. All in all developing Alzheimer's comes down to the Fickle Finger of Fate.

The Democrats send migrants to places like Springfield, Ohio because it doesn't get media attention. It's nowhere near media centers like NYC, LA, or Chicago.

Democrats are trying the same tactics in Gettysburg, PA.

ABC asked Trump a question and fact checked him about Springfield because they are against him.

Now it's a national issue. The real issue being large numbers of migrants being placed in small cities.

The migrants (who are here legally and have work permits) came to Springfield because there are (low paying) jobs there.

And President Trump would have been better served giving the last line of your post if he is asked about it. Simply saying "Let's not traffic in conspiracy theories but rather let's talk about the big problem, Democrats allowing undocumented, unvetted so-called migrants overrun our very fine towns and cities" would look a lot better.

If it's untrue, it will die of its own weight. Next, YOU will be posting here that an uptick in hatian related auto accidents and hatian perpetrated crime in Springfield, is a false claim as well.

Springfield is like the mirror image of NYC, where jobs are extremely scarce but if you have one it pays well.

In any event, the point is that the influx of Haitians to Ohio is not a deliberate government policy, but the result of people being drawn to locations where jobs are plentiful. According to today's NYT cities in Alabama are getting an influx of Haitians for the same reason.

I've seen Robert Plant smoking like a chimney in interviews from the 1980s. I really wish he would have quit; he may not have gotten back to how he was singing in 1969, but getting to Houses Of The Holy level would have been good, which he could've achieved even with his problems with vocal polyps.
