In February he was still skillful enough a negotiator to make a deal with Mike Johnson on aid to Israel and Ukraine that really wasn't what Johnson wanted the deal to be. In July he couldn't hold his own in a debate with Trump, who is pretty much of a loser when it comes to debating. Something happened. One of the many possibilities that was anticipated in the detailed nomination rules that the Democratic Party has put together. |
