If you live in rural PA, you only have a say in local elections if you register Republican. 2. Lots of people like guns. Obviously he did too. What I found most remarkable is that he was a registered voter at all, and that he won a math and science award in high school.

My point is that most gun channels* attract conservative types who are more likely to support Trump. Some of these channels ridicule Biden, for his statement several years ago that people who were really worried about home invasions** could use double-barreled shotguns. Obviously this isn't a hard and fast rule, but it does raise questions. Of course Crooks might simply have been a nutjob and his political leanings were irrelevant. I also would not be surprised in the least if there are claims this was all due to Incel Rage. Of course Crooks might have had a girlfriend, and age 20 seems a bit young to declare anyone a hopeless Incel, but this is the Internet so you never know. Come to think of it, I really should check out what the lunatics at Sailer's are frothing at the mouth about, but I just can't bring myself to do it. * = Demolition Ranch is (or was, I haven't looked at it in a few years) a fun/comedy channel, known for such stunts as shooting lit cigarettes out of a shotgun. Like so many once-prolific YT channels its output has dropped way off in the last year or so. ** = although fear of home invasions is a Godsend for gun companies, in reality they almost always target people involved in the drug trade.

In addition, with even a small amount of practice at a range a shooter can reload a double-barrel almost instantly. Possibly a more serious criticism is that the recoil of a 12-gauge shotgun can be difficult for some people to manage and a 20-gauge is almost as bad.

That's ridiculous. Believing he is dangerous is a totally valid opinion. The cures for his dangers are the ballot box and the courts (where appropriate). Biden shouldn't have used the word "bullseye." But it was clear from the context what he meant. It also didn't get any real distribution in the news media until after the shooting.

But Crooks sounds very English. Thomas Matthew could easily be Episcopalian. There is a long history of both as English names.

Michael and Thomas are very common. Matthew too. Within the Italian community names like Anthony, Joseph, Frank and Vincent are common. Within the Irish, it's John, Patrick and Daniel. Christine, Mary, and Margaret for women. Maria is Mary for Italians and Latinas. Marie for the French. Louise and Ann also common.
