I read a national review article that claimed a study that showed it was 42% of colleges but the study that they linked only referred to Yale University. I find you really have to click the links on these articles to see if they can back up their premise. |

AGAIN, nowhere in NYS' policy statement or prioritization matrix, are people being given or denied COVID treatment based on race. Stating that race is a risk factor is neither new nor discriminatory. Being Black in America IS a risk factor for many health issues, including heart disease, shortened life expectancy, stroke, asthma, and a host of other conditions, and has been for centuries. I clearly remember my earliest EMS days, when our American Heart Association training materials listed being Black as a major risk factor for heart disease, and that was almost 40 years ago. That certainly doesn't mean Black people got lifesaving cardiac care over White patients!That lawsuit is without merit, because its claims are just plain wrong. |

Levitt was a businessman who conducted business with the times. That was the nature of real estate in the 50's and even the 60's. Certainly doesn't make it right. He knew the banks were declining mortgages to returning black GI's. The banks were the ones discriminating. If a broker took a black couple to see a house in that era the whole neighborhood would know and their reputation and their business would suffer. Not only that but they could be prosecuted for blockbusting. Even Starett City had a racial quota for their apartments. |
