This is a horseshit quiz.When I got to the last question, I was at +18 Republican. When I answered that I'm Jewish, I swung to +28 Democrat. Utter bullshit. The quiz assumes that because a person is Jewish they will vote Democratic. They are many Jews who are disaffected with the Democratic Party - not only because of the "Squad" of lefty cunts who hate America and Israel but ever since the left championed Barack Obama, the long-time patron of Jeremiah Wright's church. In addition, the quiz doesn't ask if I'm a religious Jew or a secular Jew. Religious Jews are far more aligned with the right than with the left because the right is more supportive of Israel than the left, especially nowadays. Waste of bandwidth. I don't like being lumped in with other people whose views I don't share. I think independently - I'll vote for whoever I feel is the best candidate, Democrat or Republican. |

It's a statistical average of people that share certain similarities without asking any political questions.People that read the NYT and take the quiz skew liberal, so it's going to be wrong for a lot of their religious readers. And going from +18 one way to +28 the other is pretty decent. Neither are all that far from zero and substantiates that religious Jews do make choices on both sides of the aisle, just lean more one way. Regarding not asking if you're secular or religious, isn't the second question "Are you religious"? |
