There is plenty of evidence showing that human activities are the source of global warming. I've posted some of that proof elsewhere in this thread.

A total melt-out of Greenland would raise sea levels by 20 feet, so a 5% melt-out would still damage a lot of property.

"But what I meant was whether or not global warming is caused by man."

Thats what I question. I'm convinced that global warming is real (just look at the polar ice caps between then & now). A few generations ago, man made pollution filled the air. There were tens of thousands of coal smoke belching steam engines, municipal incenerators staining the air by the thousands took care of all the garbage. Additionally, every apartment house in Woodside where I grew up had their own garbage incinerator (whats a compactor?). Hanging up the laundry to dry on the roof would sometimes require another final rinse.
Steel mills in the rust belt cities had their economies judged by how bad the air was. On and on.
Yet record cold & snowfall was the rule back then in North America. IIRC in NYC, the lowest ever temperature recorded was -15F sometime in the 30s. Low Central Park winter temps nowadays come nowhere near that. "Old Timers" would tell of hip deep snowfalls that were a commonplace every winter & walking across a frozen Hudson River between Dutchess & Orange Co.s was not all that unusual.

My point of all this is that with all the man made junk being pumped in the atmosphere back then, it was much colder & snowier than today. No talk of man made global warming was ever even thought of. IMO, I Say the jury is still out on to what ,if any is the human contribution to global warming. Or is it that the planet is just going thru its astronomically dictated warming/cooling cycle.

Climate change is a long-term process. What we are beginning to visibly experience now, is the cumulative effect of all that incinerating, polluting, and befouling of the environment you just pointed out. There is a considerable body of evidence to support this. That human activities have caused the global temperature to rise is not in dispute among the vast majority of the scientific community. Whether we have the will and the wherewithal to hold that warming to controllable levels, however, is where the jury is truly still out.

You're talking about conditions nearly a century ago. There's a LOT more carbon being pumped into the atmosphere today, from places like China and India, both of whom exceed, in terms of raw population, the USA. Imagine how it will be when their economies fully support a lifestyle akin to ours....it's going to happen, both nations are racing towards it.

You're also mistaking weather for climate. Focus on the icecaps, and Greenland. THAT melting is climate change. Think of polar vortexes and record summer heat. Fires in Australia and California. Extreme weather swings are a hallmark of climate change.

The links are provable. Plenty has been written on it. Even Fox's chief meteorologist is a believer now and was not 8 years ago.

Carbon Isotopes from coal/oil/natural gas can be differentiated from that of others, like plants, such as C14 levels. The C14 levels can then be analyzed in CO2, and the C14 proportions are diminishing, which means the C02 are increasingly not being biologically generated.

I didn't "try to cite" it. They had to admit the truth because the data is against them; they couldn't fake it like they do in those links. As is always said, the devil mixes truth with lies.

Last summer, I used the AC for about two weeks, if that. Don't BS about "global warming", especially when all of their old predictions keep failing (e.g. the UN with "50 million climate refugees by 2010" that they just wiped off their website).
