Trump won by under 100,000 votes in a very liited economically depressed region of the country. What happend is a noisy minority of mostly older white men's votes were amplified by depressed turnout from the center and left.There are no trends that came out of this. There is ZERO pro-trump consensus. There is no mandate. There is little support for anything trump is doing, and growing sentiment against all of it. |

Trump can then fire Mueller, and stop the entire investigation. Several pundits, including Rachel Maddow, have been exploring possible variations on this sequence of events. |

And with McConnell going on, he'll probably win by 50 points just as an F-U to the establishment.Some people are still very butthurt that Big Luther lost. They don't care if Jones is the winner, as long as Moore never gets in. Moore looks a lot like Trump in the way the GOP hates him, at all cost. I remember when the GOP seemed to be almost endorsing Hilarity. |
