Trayvon Martin IS innocent. Zimmerman killed a child. That death was unwarranted. That is NOT innocent. The calls for boycotting Floriduh are based on their laws, laws that make it unsafe for families as they allow murderers of children to walk away from their crimes. When those laws change, people and families will return. |

Truth, i don't get this hate towards the state as a whole. I go to florida at least once a year and never had any problems with the place. Boycotts are stupid. You don't like a place then just don't go.I can appreciate that all individuals are entitled to their opinion. That said, I think boycotts are not at all stupid, although the reason(s) may or may not be questionable. One of the most famous boycotts, the bus boycott of 1955/56 was very important, and thankfully, it resulted in some racist laws being ruled unconstitutional. |

If the government of Floriduh feels the weight of reduced finances, if business owners are stressed or go under causing job loss, if the people experience lost income and unemployment there will be enough of a hue and cry to force the government to rescind their stupid vigilante-enabling laws and make the place safe for families again. |

How about we forget about real trials with real juries. Whenever there is a politically sensitive case the government should just have a Soviet style show trial with the verdict predetermined to satisfy the majority opinion on the case. |

If it's all about the state laws, then why does the jury verdict matter? The jury is not the trier of law. If this were really about getting Florida to change its law, you would have started the boycott when the incident happened and not now. |

Zimmerman admitted from the beginning that he DID kill MO Martin. There is no way any killer can be considered innocent of anything, killing a living breathing human being the supreme violent act. Killing a child is apparently not criminal in Floriduh if one can somehow claim they feared bodily harm (not even possible loss of life).Curious that you say nothing about justice for the victim's family. |
