No, that makes me a deist. I make the definitive statement that God exists. My reasoning is not relevant. There is no doubt. Where I digress from just about every other religion in mankind's history is that everything after this concept (believing God exists) is irrelevant and an invention of man. There is no heaven, hell, right or wrong way to worship. Where organized religion goes wrong is in commanding others how to live, beyond basic principles of good and evil (which manifest themselves in the Judeo-Christian world in the 10 Commandments) and the inability to accept others having different views. |

How do you know it works ok? Because it does what? What you want it to do? What it "should" do? Who decides if it is working ok or not? What end does it serve? If it has no meaning or end, then there is no basis on which to judge a need for God. I still go the other way and say that the only explanation for a universe/cosmos that did not have to be is a force that arranged it from without and that is the real necessary force. To tie up and ignore the question of the origin of the cosmos as we know it is what requires an explanation, more so than why one looks for a source of the universe. |
