Egypt is in no position to fight IsraelThat doesn't mean they won't try, it hasn't stopped them before. any leader that tried to rally support would only get a temporary solution because Israel is a foreign problem and from the way it looks... Domestic Issues might be a more pressing issue. Jobs... wages... education... Israel would be a distraction but not a long term one. Politicians generally like to keep their jobs. A temporary boost to popularity might be worthwhile depending on the circumstances. And if you think Israel can't be made into a long term distraction, you really don't pay attention to what goes on in the Middle East. Look at all the nation building that Hamas has carried out in the Gaza Strip. Oh wait, never mind... |
