In fact, he's a liberal whose own family practices self-segregationBias Note: I am a Caribbean American. elite and exclusive St. Francis Prep in Queens As much as I love my alma mater, I'd never say that it's elite and exclusive, and it's fallen somewhat in terms of status. It's a difficult school in terms of the admissions process, but it's not that elite. Hell, we're larger than any other Catholic high school in the city... I will always think of him as coming from a family who didn't want him to go to his "zone" high school in favor of the largely white Catholic Prep. FWIW, I know of racist, anti-white black people that did the same thing to avoid some of the questionable public schools. In my case, my parents wanted me to go to a good school that had a good reputation, and had the side benefit of being mostly white in order to aid with cultural assimilation... |
