Myers, and other southern cities have seen Hispanic population increase of anywhere from 500% to over 1,000% depending on city or county. Black populations are growing there too. As a result, local law enforcement must adjust to the changing demographics and their norms, which is why Disney and Universal need metal detectors for high school events.NYC has not seen a 1,000% increase in twenty years. Not even close. IIRC, Asians are now the fastest growing demo in NYC which may actually explain why things are getting better in NYC. Brentwood is over 50% Hispanic and there's a shooting or stabbing there every week. You don't see that in other Suffolk County towns unless they too have a large Hispanic population. |
