Actually, Argentinians aren't as white as they think. Genetic testing has indicated that the white population there is about 20% Native American. In many ways South America is a mirror image of North America, as it gets whiter as you go further south. As such I suspect that the same is true for North America as well—that white people here contain significant Native American ancestry (I know several that claim that they do) especially points north of Boston and into Canada—in areas that contain more of the original colonists and have received less subsequent immigration from Europe. |
