You did, however, by pointing out the country's white population when I didn't mention race personally."Racial stuff" is always there. The problem with conservatives is that they tip-toe around race issues and act as if race didn't exist or is not a factor, even when it clearly is. They point out ills among colored people and then claim not to be racist because they say said problems are not because of race. Unfortunately it's not so simple. I mentioned race because it needed to be mentioned; it's foolish to talk about a problem and not about the problem's source. But since you mentioned race, the SA murder rate of black-on-white jumped drastically; even in 2000, it was 274 per 100,000. Please tell us what about the ninefold increase in the rape rate that I mentioned in the first post makes anyone more free? Indeed. Just as the crime rate in America among blacks increased after the Civil Rights movement. Freeing people exaggerates underlying tendencies. What about replacing one set of oppressors with another (assuming a proper relative comparison, but it seems that you prefer propaganda over truth) ever works? Ever heard some of Mandela's speeches (one of his recent ones promoted the BS line about the USA going into Iraq "for its oil") Oh, you mean we didn't? How about Jacob Zuma, who the Huffington Post even criticizes strongly for being so ardently communist? The fundamental problem is a bit deeper than that. South Africa may be on its way to being a failed state, as unfortunately I would expect with a black-run government and a majority black population. |
