So Ghandi only won India's independence in 1947 instead of 1967, which is good, but nonviolent resistance only works against a democratic state where the resisters may inspire the sympathies of voters. It does not work in overthrowing a nondemocratic state with no compunction against using brutal violence against an unarmed group.**I'm willing to backtrack on this given examples. |
