Good description of Long Island. Long Island is a nice place to visit, but I just can't live in a place where I can't walk to do most things I want to do, the transit system is crappy, and where there are raccoons (those things scare the crap out of me, especially after once seeing one being skinned alive). However I don't think I ever knew the sound of complete silence or actually saw stars until I went to Long Island. |
