First off, it's a "long list", because Long Island is very large. Second, the "towns people like to rag on" also include most of the towns in the beginning of your post like Freeport, Roosevelt, Hempstead, Huntington Station, Copaighe, Amityville, etc. Those are ALL historically "not so great" towns for many decades, including the end of your list like Wyandanch, Central Islip, and North Bay Shore. It isn't "spreading", it's the same towns it's always been. |
