Part of the appeal of Florida is the tax situation more than the weather. My 80-something great aunt lives in Wantuagh and her house is like 8k in property tax. That's fucking ridculous. Alot of it is so LIers can boast having "America's greatest school districts". Not to mention having no commerical tax base to even it out.I forsee a trend of seniors moving back into the city in order to both be within a convenient area as well as not have to |
