Those that object to stem-cell research do so out of compassion for any potential aborted feti.Embryos (nobody's doing any stem cell research with fetuses) don't have emotions nor do they feel pain. They can't, THEY LACK BRAINS! Feeling compassion for an embryo at a stage of development when embryonic stem cells can be harvested makes as much sense as having compassion for a clump of mud. I know of no one opposed to the research who WANTS to see Michael J. Fox suffer. When their ignorance becomes policy, they are causing future suffering. |
