The fact that he knew where the CEO would be is the best evidence of a professional hit. And he killed him walking from his hotel to the investor meeting.

My guess is that anyone can find out where the annual shareholders meeting is. Especially a shareholder.

It's not unusual to stay at a different nearby hotel for different reasons. Mainly to create space between himself and other attendees.

Looking at video the assassin is about 5 yards from his target. Maybe 10. That is close.
