How do you know any of that is true?conservatives took over the GOP around 1962-63, and it had nothing to do with Rinos LOL! Now you revise history, as a left-wing Democrat would do. Conservatives were forced out en masse; their treatment of Reagan and Nixon (who ignored the former's advice with respect to pandering to liberals) is proof positive. I taught US history in high school for 35 years and you are the first person to disagree with me on that historical fact Being a history teacher does not give you bona fides, with all due respect. It makes you suspect, in fact. This means you were witness to the alterations in the teaching of history in government-run education and went along with them instead of fighting against them; now this is anecdotal, but I've talked with people who went to HS in the 1950s and 1960s and they said that they were taught that the USA is a "representative republic" and were disgusted when I told them that during the 1980s that high schools taught that the USA is a "representative democracy" instead (yes, they are very different). |
