The WFH disruption is also gradual for most affected businesses, like real estate developers and banks.Building owners didn't get hit hard right away because many tenants have long-term lease obligations, but they know they eventually are going to be ruined and there is nothing they can do about it because most now-obsolete office buildings can't feasibly be converted into anything else. It's like being a prisoner on Death Row who has exhausted all appeals, knowing that eventually your date with destiny will come. |
