One thing that made the 2020 election results more controversial was the unusually high number of mail-in ballots resulting from Covid fears.That only made it more controversial because Trump made a fuss about the mail-in laws, many of which were enacted by Republican legislatures and/or signed by Republican governors. If Trump loses by a small margin in 2024, he will find a reason to claim the election was stolen. |
