Agreed.However, lots of Republicans supported it prior to 2020. It helps improve the turnout among older people, who tend to vote more Republican. I really doubt vote buying is a big thing because it's very hard to get away with it. If somebody offers to buy 100 people's votes, a few of them will talk. And there are very few stories of it going on, and even fewer criminal charges. There would be more if it were common. |
