I agree that mandatory training in firearms be a requirement for owning a gun. Just like driving a car. You are in a @4K pound "bullet" and in order to drive it, you must be trained & pass tests to be licensed.
But the gun enthusiasts will counter that mandatory training is not mentioned in the constitution as a requirement.
The constitution is not a perfect document. Proof being that it has been amended 27 times. In terms as gun ownership, Sometimes common sense should trump the spirit and letter of the 2nd amendment
