It's designed to prioritize money over human life.I agree. It ain't volunteer work. And who wants healthy patients? The system wants more sick than healthy people. That's a big part of the reason why advice on cholesterol and fat intake is embraced by doctors, big pharma, and blood labs. 2. A person's social status (wealth, race, prominence, sexual orientation, gender identity) decisively determines the level of care they receive, and how much care they receive. Like Steve Jobs and Luke Perry? It's lower income areas that are getting a disproportionate amount of emergency clinics and pharmacies and meds. Several middle-class people here listed all the fucking drugs they're on for metabolic disease. 3. The system actively discourages its use. We're gonna learn real soon. (I am aware that I myself have little or no social "value" in the scheme of things. As a gay, average-income, mixed-race man over 50, my coronavirus survival probability where patients > available medical resources, is close to zero.) ? Gays have higher value than ever. If you are likely to die from COVID because you're gay it's because your immune system is already weakened. And it makes sense that it would be. |
